Cinnamon Apple Pie

This delicious pie is perfect for any occasion, with that typical bittersweet cinnamon flavor all apple recipes have.

Ingredients:

Base:

2 cups flour

125g salted butter

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 cup sugar

2 eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 splash cold water


Filling:

3-4 peeled apples

2 tablespoons cinnamon

3 tablespoons melted butter

1 egg white

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 tablespoon sugar



Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 356°F. For the base, mix the flour, baking powder and sugar together.

  2. Add the rest of the ingredients to the mixture (butter, eggs vanilla, water) *Remember that the water is just in case the dough is too dry.

  3. Grease a pie mold and spread the dough on the mold. Make sure to make high edges. Prick the dough several times with a fork and put in the oven.

  4. Slice the apples or simply chop them in little pieces. Set aside.

  5. Whisk all the ingredients together in a small bowl.

  6. Take out the mold and spread some of the cinnamon mixture on top.

  7. If you sliced the apples, set them on the mold like a rose and add the rest of the cinnamon mixture on top. In case you chopped them, mix them with the cinnamon mixture and put on top.

  8. Put in the oven for 10 more minutes, or until the dough is ready.

  9. Serve and enjoy!!

*You can serve it with a ball of vanilla ice cream🍦
